Charlie Houssier is a phenomenal Loan Officer who calls himself the “Military Mortgage Man,” and for good reason. He specializes in VA Loans and has an in depth knowledge of the home loan program through the Texas Veterans Land Board. The only thing that overshadows his unmatched passion for the field of financing and credit repair is Charlie’s unwavering dedication to assisting the men and women of the armed forces.

I was certainly fortunate and privileged to have come across Charlie when I did. My wife and I were looking to buy a home and I had initially started communicating with a different loan officer. Although this first loan officer seemed competent and willing to help, there just seemed to be something missing. I asked my realtor if she could recommend someone, she mentioned Charlie’s name and offered his card. Without hesitation she said Charlie is experienced and will do what it takes to get me into a home.

I called Charlie the next day and we hit it off and I knew just by the tone in his voice this man was confident, experienced and driven. Driven to do all that he could for those who served, or are serving our nation in the military. This observation won me over immediately and so I started using Charlie’s service.

Charlie understands the bargaining power of a pre-approved loan and worked quickly to get this done for me. Even before we found a home, Charlie worked up some figures based on the price range we were looking so that we would have and idea what the end result would look like.

After finding the home we wanted to buy, Charlie prepared the necessary documents for me to sign. When the deal fell through at closing because the appraisal came in under what was already a great price considering the home market situation, we had to start over from scratch.

My wife and I were fortunate to find an excellent home the next day and Charlie was immediately ready to do the work again. And if that were not enough, days within closing on the new home we found I received my final VA Disability Awards Letter entitling me to additional benefits. I called Charlie and asked if it was too late to change things up again.

True to his calling, Charlie said he would find out, run some numbers and get back to me with the pros and cons. After presenting me the options, he said whatever I decide to do I needed to make my decision rather quick. Due to his intuitive sense of the housing market, backed with his daily awareness of the housing market and supported with over thirty years experience in his field of expertise, Charlie advised that the finance rates would be going up again soon and he wanted to ensure I was locked in at the lowest rate possible.
